Bojan Marinović speaker of the Padova Pole Vault Convention + High Jump
27 Nov 2024

He coached Blanka Vlašić, one of the strongest high jumpers in history. Four-time Olympian. Silver in Beijing 2008, bronze in Rio 2016. Four times world champion. Personal best of 2m08. That’s enough, we think.

Welcome Bojan Marinović!

READ MORE ABOUT HIS BIO

Bojan Marinović had a distinguished career as a high jumper, reaching a personal best of 2.12m during his active years from 1985 to 1997.

Upon ending his jumping career in 1997, Bojan began collaborating with Blanka Vlašić, who was not yet specialized in high jump at the time. By 1999, Blanka’s high jump career had taken shape, leading her to compete at the Junior World Championships. In addition to working with Blanka, who achieved a personal best of 2.08m, the third female high jumper in history, Bojan has also worked with several other top athletes, including Ebba Jungmark (with coach Emil Predan), Ana Šimić (with coach Edo Josipović), Alen Melon (PB 2.23m in high jump), Antonija Radić (PB 6.22m in long jump), and Magdalena Zanze (PB 1.77m in high jump).

Bojan has been recognized twice by the Croatian Olympic Committee as the most successful Croatian coach, reflecting his significant contributions to the sport.
